BIO:
Well this is me, The HardyGirl, well...OK...Sharry at age 5. Since I was born in 1966, I was a child of the 70's. Some of my favorite things were playing with my dolls, playing records, coloring, singing, drawing and making believe. I was raised on Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers neighborhood, and Zoom. I lived in New York City, about 1 block away from where Freddie Prinze used to live, and 3 blocks away from where Clement C. Moore is buried. My world was in a 3 block radius. I could walk to school, church, day camp, 3 grocery stores, the shoe store, the pizza place, the fruit stand, the toy store and the discount store from my apartment. I'm the youngest of 4 kids and was very endulged. I lived for Saturday mornings when I could see all the good Krofft shows. Some of my favorite foods were Koogle, Tang, Doritos, and Danny frozen yogurt pops. I was in love with David Cassidy, Rick Springfield and The Brady Bunch. Some of the biggest thrills for me were my birthday, Christmas and being the first to dig the toys out of the cereal box! As a result of having such a great childhood, and living for 2 decades since then, I'm convinced that the 70's were the best time in the world to be a kid. We had the best clothes, food, TV, music and toys. I'm an after-school teacher, and I'm always exposing my kids to what was fun and cool about the 70's. If they learn nothing else from me, they know that just because it's old, doesn't mean it's no good. I thank God everyday I have such of great memory of my past, and I'm glad I can share those memories with all of you.
