Facebook Review for 07/29/2011

Over at our Retroland Facebook page, we’ve been watching some great vintage videos, sharing news stories of interest, and discussing retro topics in our Discussion forum. If you haven’t been following along yet, here is what you missed over the past week:

  • Saturday: We kicked off the weekend with a little dose of Hong Kong Phooey.
  • Sunday:We watched a classic commercial for Battleship.
  • Monday:We wondered who among us ever owned a Slush Mug.
  • Tuesday:We offered a glimpse of a 7-Eleven from summers past. We also reported on the sad passing of Dan Peek, a founding member of the 70s band, America.
  • Wednesday:We checked out Billy Mumy in a vintage ad for the Dick Tracy Water-Powered Jet Gun.
  • Thursday:We visited Frankie and Annette at the beach, for some Beach Blanket Bingo.
  • Friday:We listened to the late, great Eddie Cochran sing about the Summertime Blues.

If you haven’t already, head over to Facebook and “Like” our Retroland page, share a link with your friends, and join in the conversation. We’ll see you there!
