The Muppet Show

It’s understandable that most kids adore puppets. Adults, on the other hand, don’t usually pay much attention. Under the masterful guidance of Jim Henson, however, a weekly variety show called The Muppet Show emerged in September of 1976 and proceeded to win the affection of millions of fans of all ages. Still enormously popular, the 120 episodes of The Muppet Show that were produced will likely be viewed (and cherished) by children and adults alike for decades to come, for making us laugh ourselves silly in a way that few other variety shows have ever achieved. Ask someone to name a Christmas song, and you might get a hundred different answers. Ask them to name a Halloween song, however, and they are almost assured to respond with the “Monster Mash.” For almost half a century, this catchy little ditty has been considered the anthem of the holiday, and has probably been played at just about every Halloween party held since the early 60s. Today, we take a loving look back at this classic composition. Continue reading...

Today, we thought it was time to give some props to the apparition you couldn’t help but love, Casper, The Friendly Ghost. Continue reading...

Today, we offer up some of the most memorable animated families to ever invade our living rooms, and then we want to hear who your all-time favorites are. Continue reading...

Movie Dogs

Movie Dogs

Today, we turn the spotlight to man’s best friend, as we remember the cinematic canines of yesteryear. Over the years, we’ve marveled at both their heroics and their mischievous antics. It's yet one of the many Oscar-worthy performances from our four-legged friends. Let's take a look back and remember some of the greats from over the years. Continue reading...
