Basketball games (mechanical)

A friend of mine from school had a Chicago Coin All-American Basketball machine from 1967. His grandfather had an arcade at an amusement park and when they renovated in the mid-70's, Mark got a couple of the old machines. The Basketball was a riot. It was a cross between basketball and shuffleboard bowling. You slid the puck down the lane where there were a series of switches. If you hit the correct switches, the ball would be launched to the basket. We'd play that machine for hours on end stopping only to eat meals and occasionally torment his younger sister.
