The label-happy ‘80’s were all about splashing brand names boldly on everything you owned. The Au Coton label was one of the biggest.
Founded in 1980, this Canadian company produced oversized sweatshirts in pastel colors, with the name “Au Coton” in large print on the front. In addition, they created a variety of cotton knit garments such as leggings, tee shirts, and tank tops. Today, Au Coton only has retail stores in Canada, but thanks to the internet and mail order, you can get a little taste of the ‘80’s anywhere in the world.
