Ferraris… flashy, sleek, something to be envied for the last half-a-century.  Ferrari sunglasses, well, they might not have been a Ferrari, but they were the next best thing for a guy with a thinner wallet who really, really wanted that Miami Vice, high-speed, sporty look, without going completely broke.

These sunglasses came, of course, with the super cool and trendy “Prancing Horse” logo, which indicated the wearer’s sense of style.  Aside from being cool, one of the best aspects to the Ferrari frames was that it came with bendable joints that allowed the wearer to collapse the sunglasses into a pocket-sized shape: dangly straps, be gone!  No need to get all girly and set your shades on your head when it was so convenient to pop them into a pocket!

Ferrari sunglasses are, by some, seen as a part of a larger Transformers trend that was taking place in the 80s.  With Ferrari sunglasses, men got to combine a manly image with a boyish interest in all things mechanical.  For the men that wore them, Ferrari sunglasses were truly more than meets the eye!  Or, wait… they did meet the eyes, in an oh-so-fashionable way.
