Shiny, sleek and sexy.  Satin, unlike its disco counterpart polyester, was the smooth way to look cool out on the dance floor.  Dancing queens (and even a few kings!) strutted their stuff in the shiny threads, turning the once-demure look of into something that was almost too hot to handle!  Who needs satin sheets when you can just wear it all day long?

The satin pant was just another part of the extravagant 70s, when nothing was too tight, and glitzy was totally in.  Through the miracle of Lycra (think spandex), wearers got just that – giving satin the high-gloss space-age look that was the biggest hit of the era.  Best of all, these pants came in a multitude of colors, from hot fuchsia, to glitzy gold, emerald green and beyond!

After that, all that was ever needed was a sexy pair of heels or eye-popping platforms to transform one into the belle of the disco ball.  Sure, The Hustle might not have been as comfortable squeezed into those tight satin pants, but who needs comfort when they look that good?
