Milk chocolate and creamy caramel… it just doesn’t get much better than this for those who love rich, delicious simplicity. Introduced by Cadbury in 1976, Caramello has been a low-key favorite for its many fans. That first delicious, warm-fuzzies-inducing bite is enough to a satiate a caramel fan’s sweet tooth each and every time. Luckily for its many fans, Caramello can be found around the world, still produced by Cadbury (in the U.S., however, Cadbury is now owned by Hershey’s.)
Though the candy may have been somewhat low-key, you would never know it from the commercials during the 1980s that were regularly shown on television. Slogans such as “I was right in the middle of a… Caramello… when I found gold!” proceeded to get firmly lodged in viewer’s heads each time the commercials would play. The stretchy caramel center even gained quite the reputation from the many memorable commercials that often featured people stretching the candy, themselves, or even both, all to the snappy Caramello jingle: “Stretch it out! Caramello! Streeeetch it out! Out! Out! Caramello…”
So, grab a Caramello for old time’s sake and bite into the mellow goodness that is sweet, sultry caramel. There is something absolutely divine that occurs when caramel and chocolate meet and mingle amongst your taste buds. Simplicity and succulence in every bite.
