Beetlejuice, 1988

Beetlejuice is perhaps, in my opinion, Tim Burton's greatest masterpiece. Yes, he did do Edward Scissorhands, which would come in second and many other movies along the way, but Beetlejuice still stands out amoung them all. Micheal keaton who played Beetlejuice was funny. I couldn't stand Winona Ryder though. She was so depressing. I liked the animated version of her character so much better. Gena Davis and Alec Baldwin were ok. Catherine O'Hara was wonderful. Of course, this was her decade because she went on to play the mother in Home Alone. I just love Catherine O'Hara. "The Banana Boat Song" is the highlight of the whole movie. It just cracks me up thinking about it.
