The Wolf Man (series)I remember when I kid, checking out all the classic monster books out of the school library. Seeing all the stars from back then. Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and of course, Lon Chaney Jr.! I remember seeing all the pics of him as the Wolf Man. I had Ma fix me up as the Wolf Man almost every year for Halloween. No mask either! She took the time to liquid latex Dr Scholl's lamb's wool to my face. I wish she had taken pics because she did a great job!I so wanted to see the horror classics but never found a video store that had them. Then, Augusta Maine got it's first Wal Mart back in the early 90's. I was looking through the movies and was suprised to see an MGM's Monsters Classics Collection! I nearly $#!% my pants, lol!! I could only afford to get one so I chose The Wolf Man! I was so damn excited! After all these years, having read the monster books and seen all the pics, I was about to see the movie itself, Finally!! I absolutely loved it! Still do, as I love all the classics horrors. I have the others in the colloection now too. Lon Chaney Jr. was a great actor! He was the perfect Larence Talbot. Even though there is theme music in the background where this movie is in the 40's, it was still wonderfully done! I'm looking forward to the remake of the movie starring Benicio Del Toro. Ofcourse you can't beat the classics so even if the movie doesn't turn out good, I'll always have the classic with the late great Lon Chaney Jr.! Gold Stars: 2 GOLD STARS:RELATED ITEMS: |
