Charlotte's Web

I enjoyed the film in the movie theatre and then on tv many times. Animation purists may not like the typical Hanna-Barbera tv animation style with no shadows or full animation movements but it was a comfortable watch for me with the familiar actors in the lead roles such as Debbie Reynolds, Henry Gibson, Paul Lynde, and Pamelyn Ferdin as well as the Hanna-Barbera voice regulars such as Don Messick (the baby duck) and John Stephenson (Fern's father) and the Hanna-Barbera sound effects. Henry Gibson's sensitive voice performance as Wilbur the pig was excellent and Debbie Reynolds' last scenes as Charlotte was heart-rending. I'm not a big fan of real spiders but the animated Charlotte was likable and sympathetic.
