MEMORY:

I remember the very first Chipmunks album that I received. I think I was a small tyke of four at the time, and the album wasn't anything too special. It was touted as the album that contained songs from the television show, and these songs included "Beat It", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "Surfin' USA", and of course, the Witch Doctor song. You know, the "ooo-eee-ooo-ah-ah, ting, tang, walla walla bing bang" song?

Of course, I don't remember any of those songs appearing in the show at all...must have been the first season which I barely remember in the first place that they appeared in.

At any rate, the Chipmunks held a special place in my music collection as a kid, right in between the tapes by Raffi and Sharon, Lois and Bram.

And, every Christmas, I could understand the Chipmunks pleas...

"We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas don't be late!!"
