MEMORY:

Oh man, their show was alot of fun. Cher would be shrouded in dim lights, start singing really slow, then the lights would go on, the music would get faster and she'd sing, sing, sing:-) And the neat thing was, her stage moved out toward's the audience. Her clothes were sharp and I always remember thinking how perfect her body was and how I would someday be shaped like that, LOL. It's 30 something years later and I am still waiting, LOL. The playful banter and dry humor was over my head at the time, but Cher chewing that gum as "Laverne", with those silly earrings and funny wigs...It was a fun variety show, and her music. Another real early memory of listening to her was the song "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves", as a wee one, I would sing: "Gypsies, Chimpanzees", LOL. Sonny and Cher were cool, but I always recall, well, that he couldn't sing. But they balanced one another out and it was cool.
