Been to SeaWorld in SanDiego/Orlando!

Anheuser-Busch: Beer and… fun times for the whole family?  On the list of family destination favorites one could easily find Sea World.  By 1976, Sea World grew to four parks: the original in San Diego, the second one in Aurora, Ohio, the third park in Orlando, Florida (conveniently located close to some other popular theme parks), and then the fourth locale in San Antonio, Texas.  By 1989, Anheuser-Busch’s entertainment division picked up the parks (plus a couple of others) and set out to revive Sea World.

Climate issues in Ohio forced the park to remain seasonal, and the same went for San Antonio.  The severity of the winters, however, prompted Busch Entertainment to sell the Aurora park to the same company that runs the famous Cedar Point.  San Antonio continues to operate, though unlike its sister parks in Orlando and San Diego, the San Antonio park is only closed during January and February.

Though each park has its own nuance, families have flocked to them to get a glimpse of the sea life in abundance at the marine mammal parks.  Though there are a few fast rides for those wishing for a bigger thrill, the crowds have always focused on the parks'  famous shows, featuring penguins, dolphins, seals, sea lions, otters, orcas (killer whales or “SHAMUUU!” to any little kid running through the parks) and even sharks.  Not to mention getting a chance to see the famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales, and shows featuring other pet tricks.

For over three and a half decades, Sea World has offered the chance to learn about and participate with marine life.  Where else can you get soaked by a colossal wave from a gigantic orca, or a kiss from a friendly dolphin?   Only in your Shamu-lovin' dreams, friends-- or visiting his splashin'-grounds, at Sea World.
