FANS:
MEMORIES:
Step Two: Argue amongst yourselves over who gets to be “Simon.”
Step Three: Everyone, stand in a straight line! Well, everyone except you, Simon.
Step Four: Start with the phrase, “Simon says…” End it with the action of your choice.
Step Five: Repeat Step Four, and occasionally omit “Simon says…” Sounds pretty simple, eh? It was and it wasn’t. This popular children’s game has been a favorite for decades. But, like any good game, there are rules. First of all, you must do what Simon says. If you don’t, you’re out. Don’t get any bright ideas, Simon… you can’t ask the players to do something impossible, that’s cheating! But players, pay attention: If you hear “Simon says jump!” then jump. If all you hear is “Jump!” don’t do it… if you do, you’re out! Last player in the game wins, and, barring the sad bell that signals the end of recess, becomes the new Simon. Simon says touch your nose with your left hand. Simon says pat your belly with your right hand. Simon says put your right hand on the mouse. Simon says… this entry is done.
