KISS

my first "real" concert ... i try not to include the andy gibb concert my parents dragged me to because it was my little sister's birthday. saw them in 79 at the hampton coliseum ... one of my friends got on of peter criss' drumsticks that were thrown into the crowd after a particular song ("detroit rock city" maybe?)

i was a card carrying member of the KISS army (still have the membership card), collected "creem" and "circus" magazine issues that featured KISS, still have the KISS meets the phantom comic book, thought ace was the ultimate guitar player (... before i got into zeppelin) and dressed as gene simmons one halloween.

they put on one of the best concerts i've ever seen ... to this day.
