MEMORY:

I was first introduced to Mr.Bagdasarian's

"Alvin & The Chipmunk"characters..not thru

their comedy records..but via their 1960's

tv cartoon show.

( I did get "The Alvin Show"record

later on)

I watched "The Alvin Show"Wednesday

nights on The CBS TV Network during the

early 1960's.

And I enjoyed the pranks that those

three animated guys created for Poor

"Mr.Seville" and the other unfortuneate

schnooks..that "Alvin" and his brothers

disliked.

The one person that "Alvin" and his

brothers couldn't go up against was that

little brat"DaisyBelle".

She always made trouble for those

guys..no matter what and "Mr.Seville"

allowed her to get away with it.

(If I had my druthers and I found

out that that brat was creating troubles

for Poor "Alvin",Poor "Simon" and Poor

"Theordore"?..I'd smack that little

brat in the tush and smack her snotty face!)

The comedy was fun and I enjoyed

the songs.

Not just"The Chipmunk Song"and

"The Witchdoctor"..I also enjoyed

"Three Blind Mice","The Alvin Twist",

"The Three Brave Chipmunks",":The

Japanease Bananna"and"Alvin's

Harmonica".

And I laughed at the crazy gimmicks

that"Prof.Clyde Crashcup"tried to create

..even though these items were already

in use.

"Prof.Crashcup"was the pompous,

loudmouth and foolish inventor..who

never knew that his devices were already

created and that his verbose bragging

would turn people off.

Oftimes?

It took his little asistant"Leonardo"

to try and prevent his boss from turning

his lectures or his supposed triumphs into

a major disaster.

"The Alvin Show"only lasted one season

on The CBS TV Network..but it has since

gained a loyal following via nationally

syndicated reruns.

Mr.Bagdasarian created,produced and

performed more"Alvin"records..until his

death in the 1970's.

His Son..Mr.Ross Bagdasarian,Jr.

and his wife Mrs.Janice Bagdasarian

have tried to revive the format with

new"Alvin"records and "The Alvin &

The Chipmunks TV Cartoons"in the

1980's?

But those new records and cartoons

have failed and so has "The Chipmunks

Adventure"movie.

Let's Face it?!

No one will ever try to top the original

misadventures of"The Alvin Show!".
