Shazam! and The Secrets of Isis were two superhero series produced by Filmation in the 70s, which combined live-action and animated effects. The shows aired separately for a time but were shown back to back in The Shazam!/Isis Hour after 1975.

Shazam! was all about teenager Billy Batson and his superhero secret identity, Captain Marvel, who had been a comic book protagonist for several decades before moving to the small screen. Billy traveled around with his Mentor in an RV, frequently called upon by Solomon, Hercules, Achilles, Zeus, Atlas and Mercury, powerful ancient beings who would guide Billy to right wrongs and fight evil. With the battle cry of "Shazam!" Billy transformed into Captain Marvel, who had super strength, super speed and super red tights.

The Secrets of Isis told the story of Andrea Thomas, a modern day science teacher who had discovered an ancient amulet while on an archeological dig in Egypt. The amulet was a magical artifact and could bestow the special abilities of the goddess Isis to its worthy owner. Andrea turned out to be very worthy and could transform into the embodiment of Isis by the incantation "Oh, Mighty Isis!" Among her other super powers, Isis had the ability to fly move objects with her mind. Her outfit was much cooler than Captain Marvel's too.
