This animated series was based on Jim Henson’s Muppet program on HBO. Airing Saturday mornings on network television, the show was also about the Fraggles, a group of creatures who lived under the house of human being Doc. They shared their space with the tiny Doozers, a group of beings who built elaborate towers that the Fraggles would eat. There were also the Gorgs, a family of giants who lived above ground and liked to bash in Fraggle brains.
The cartoon, like the original series, also included original songs. But unlike the original series, the animated show couldn’t find it’s footing. Scheduled up against Saturday morning powerhouse, Pee Wee's Playhouse, the series only lasted one season.
