The New Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Series was a collection of Hanna-Barbera animated shows that aired on syndication starting in 1962. The collection included segments of Wally Gator, Touché Turtle and Dum Dum and Lippy the Lion & Hardy Har Har.

Wally Gator was an alligator bent on escaping from the zoo and he sounded a lot like Ed Wynn. Much to the frustration of Mr. Twiddles the zookeeper, Wally regularly broke out of his cage, causing panic and mayhem.

Touché Turtle was an accomplished fencer and swashbuckler who travelled around saving kings, queens and princesses from various perils. He was accompanied by a simpleminded sheepdog named Dum Dum, who was voiced by Alan Reed (the voice of Fred Flintstone).

Lippy the Lion & Hardy Har Har were two down and out friends, a lion and hyena respectively, who dreamed of getting rich some day. Lippy was usually the mastermind of their get-rich-quick schemes, while Hardy reluctantly followed his cue. The pessimistic hyena often ended up in hot water because of Lippy and endured all indignities with a plaintive "Oh me, oh my, oh dear."

Each segment had 52 episodes produced but after a while Lippy and Touché disappeared, leaving Wally the undisputed champion of this cross-species contest.
