A fan favorite, The Courtship of Eddie's Father hasn’t had the syndication exposure that many of it’s contemporary sitcoms enjoy, but it still maintains a popularity stemming from it’s sweet story and strong cast.

Eddie’s father is Tom Corbett, played by Bill Bixby. He’s a magazine publisher and widower, raising his son while working on his career. Eddie wants his dad to find the woman of his dreams, and is always on the hunt for a new girlfriend for daddy, setting him up with a myriad of neighborhood women.

The rest of the cast included Tina Rickles as Tom’s secretary, along with the Corbetts' Japanese housekeeper, Mrs. Livingston, and the art director at Tom’s magazine, Norman Tinker. Jodie Foster had a recurring role as Eddie’s friend Joey Kelly.

The show was produced by and co-starred James Kormack, who would later create The Incredible Hulk and work again with Bill Bixby. After three seasons on ABC – and no new wives for dad - the show was cancelled.
