MEMORY:

This was Joe Ruby and Ken Spears's first cartoon series produced on their own after they left Hanna-Barbera Productions from their positions as story editors. Their staff included many former Hanna-Barbera animators and the animation style and sound effects were very similar to their old company's style. This was also the first cartoon series voice role for Susan Blu who would voice many tv cartoons and direct voice actors in other programs in the 1980s to present.

The mysteries were the standard "meddling kids vs. the monster of the day" a la "Scooby Doo"...only one of the meddling kids and his baby nephew can turn into hyperactive comical werewolves. Sherman Fangsworth in his human form and Puggsy were modeled after skinny, not-too-bright Huntz Hall and pudgy, wisecracking Leo Gorcey from the 40s "Bowery Boys" comedy films.
