With his then-cartoonish persona and his bankable name as an entertainer, Jim Carrey in actual cartoon form was a no-brainer, and the 1995 – 1997 cartoon television seasons proved that TV execs were thinking exactly the same thing.  After CBS had picked up rights to animate his hit The Mask, ABC picked up an earlier Carrey hit, Dumb and Dumber for their Saturday morning lineup.  Incidentally, shortly after, CBS added another hit, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, to their lineup, but we digress… this is about Dumb and Dumber.

Like the film, the animated program followed our favorite doofus duo, Lloyd and Harry, as they cross the country in the Mutt Cutts van.  The van mysteriously re-appeared after being sold off for a scooter from the film.  Hrmmm…  Each week, the pair get themselves into hot water, and in their zany way they make their way out just to do it again the next week.

Voiced by Max Headroom legend Matt Frewer and Bill Fagerbakke as Lloyd and Harry, respectively, the show didn’t even last an entire season.
