MEMORY:

Great ensemble show with 3 storylines and a large cast in every episode...mix of drama, comedy, and suspense during emergency and operating room scenes. William Daniels (familiar as KITT's voice on "Knight Rider" at the time) was memorable as the heartless heart surgeon Dr. Mark Craig...egotistical, cranky, and very human.
Ed Flanders was the opposite as Dr. Donald Westphal who was soft-spoken, kindly, patient, and yet having a lot of tragic things happening to his life (wife dying, taking care of his autistic son). Other famous and familiar cast members included Denzel Washington, Mark Harmon, David Morse, Stephen Furst, David Birney, Howie Mandel, and Ed Begley Jr. The hospital was run down and the ratings were ugly...but the acting and the writing were excellent. The season finale's final scenes were interesting to say the least.
