Marty Gold (Lewis,) a reporter meets an easy-going writer named Hannah Miller (Curtis) while aboard an airplane. When she later decides to relocate to the Windy City, she reconnects with Marty who offers her what she thinks is a dream job.
But sharing an office introduces a healthy dose of sexual tension to their burgeoning relationship but the ever-uptight Marty finds a bit of balance against the laid-back personality of Hannah. They would remain unattached until the third season, when they finally tied the knot.
The show had a tumultuous three year history, never quite knowing if it would return. The chemistry between Lewis and Curtis always made for some charming, lighthearted entertainment.
