Release History:

7/97 - ? Cartoon Network
Irreverent and kooky, this Cartoon Network show pushed the boundaries of silliness. It told the adventures of 11 year old Chicken and his little sister Cow. The fact that they actually were a cow and a chicken didn’t change the fact that they were siblings. And their parents were only ever seen from the waist down, so the mystery was never really explained.

The kids are growing up in the suburbs, dealing with the usual adolescent problems of schoolmates and criminals. They’re joined by Chicken’s two best friends, Flem and Earl, and their cousin Boneless Chicken, who, as you can guess, had the difficult position of having no bones. Plus, there’s this dude called the Red Guy with a pointy tail, who’s also known as the Devil, who keeps causing them problems.

Red Guy is always trying to cow-nap or chicken-nap the kids, but he never succeeds due to the superhero known as Supercow (who looks surprisingly like Cow.) Between disguising himself as a warden, or a salesman, or a police officer, Red Guy is always trying to find out the secret identity of Supercow. Will he ever succeed?

The program is 30 minutes and consists of two "Cow and Chicken" shorts and one of “I Am Weasel.” This  short starred a wealthy, intelligent weasel named I.M. Weasel, along with an annoying baboon named I.R. Baboon. Jealous of Weasel’s success, I.R. was always trying to copy him to garner his own upper class lifestyle. Eventually, the segment became it’s own series.

Cow and Chicken continue their adventures today on the popular Cartoon Network, and Red Guy still hasn’t figured out who Supercow is yet.
