Tiny Toon Adventures breathed new life into weekday afternoons, using updated versions of familiar Warner Bros. characters. The Tiny Toons may have looked and acted like Bugs, Daffy and the rest of the gang but they were definitely unique creations, appealing to young kids, older kids and adults alike.

The premise had Buster and Babs Bunny ("No relation") as the main characters in Acme Acres, along with Plucky Duck and Hamton Pig. The four of them attended Acme Looniversity where they learned how to be proper cartoons; they were taught by some of the greats like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck who had frequent cameos. Other students at the Looniversity included Shirley the Loon, Dizzy Devil (a junior Taz), Montana Max (a millionaire brat reminiscent of Yosemite Sam) and Fifi Le Fume. One of the more memorable characters was the human girl Elmyra, who sported a gerbil skull in her hairbow and had disturbing predilection for squeezing the living daylights out of fuzzy animals.

The show was a wild success, due mostly to the clever writing and multitude of in-jokes and pop culture references. There was something to delight viewers of all ages, from corny puns to drier-than-dry wit, usually delivered by Babs. It was an afternoon staple for many years and spawned not only primetime specials but many spin-off series as well, who became popular in their own right.
