Based upon the age-old legend of Camelot, Arthur and the Square Knights of the Round Table was a comical animated spoof that chronicled a light-hearted look at the often-wacky adventures of the illustrious Knights of the Round Table.

All the gang was there – Gwenevere, Merlin, the Court Jester and of course, Lancelot, or at least a dimwitted version of Lancelot, plagued by the even more dimwitted infamous Black Night and evil sorceress, Morgana.

Unfortunately, while the series was a hit in Great Britian, it didn’t manage to fair as well “across the pond” and only a handful of the cartoon shorts ever reached the shores of America – a shame for the 1968 animated series, which never really got a chance to catch on outside of its native land.
