“He's wild, he's cool, he's "Bogus."

Thanks to a hole in the Saturday morning line-up, the result of everyone’s favorite purple environmentalist, Widget, the World Watcher, moving on to the land of syndication, an opportunity arose for another little animated rascal named Mister Bogus. While Widget focused on saving the planet, however, Bogus was a little too enamored with mischief to achieve any such altruistic goals.

Residing in the medicine cabinet of the suburban home of Tommy Anybody, Mister Bogus was a diminutive yellow gremlin-like creature that, despite his desires to be good and helpful to the family, just couldn’t keep his nose out of trouble. A master of disguise, he could walk through mirrors, a talent he often used to visit his native Bogusland, inhabited by the feared Dirt Dudes. And while Mister Bogus had a decidedly friendly demeanor, the same couldn’t be said for his cousin, the aptly-named Brattius.

Mister Bogus employed a unique blend of cell-animation and claymation, each utilized in two separate segments of the show. Like its predecessor, Widget, the World Watcher, Mister Bogus was a fairly popular hit, enough so that, after a brief stay on Saturday mornings, the show made a similar journey into daily syndication.
