Pink FloydPosted On: 10/25/09 |
Pink FloydPretty much a staple in my music listening life....Pink Floyd never disappointed with such dynamic and powerful songs. Back in grade school, "Another Brick in the Wall" was a regular recess singalong (usually on a day when the teacher was in a bad mood). While in high school, songs such as "Time", Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Comfortably Numb" were listened to regularly. As an adult and a college graduate with an English degree, I have grown to very much appreciate how deep and well thought out Pink Floyds' songs truly are on a literary and musical basis. Powerful stuff that can be picked apart and discussed. That and there are plenty of killer guitar solos! I would have loved to have been able to see the band live, but I can only assume how great the shows must have been. I did manage to see the Australian Pink Floyd Show....a group that recreates the arena spectacles that the original group once performed. If they are in your city...don't miss them!RELATED ITEMS: |
