Bobby Sherman
Bobby Sherman is a fond memory from my childhood, especially "Julie, Do You Love Me" which in retrospect is a recording that Sinatra or Dean Matin would have tried, but a teen star to make such a adult-sounding track was pretty brave. I was impressed to see how he eased himself out of superstardom to care for his kids, and to seek a normal life--Kevin Federline, take note...

Toss Across
My cousins had one of these, and I was DEEPLY envious...until 25 years later, when I found a vintage one in a Goodwill, and bought it for my daughters! I cannot tell you who enjoys it more!

Three Dog Night
Just a terrific group! Unusual for their time because they had three distinct lead singers, TDN relied on some of music's greatest songwriters for their hits, which covered 1969-1977. Badly underappreciated!

CBS Children's Film Festival
I remember watching this all the time, but I have trouble remembering any of the movies! Many were a bit too "off-the-wall" for me at the time, though I do know that a few truly held my attention. One that stays with me was a story about a young boy and his burro...

Mold-A-Rama
These were fantastic (if you were white farm trash that didn't get out much...color me guilty)! They had one at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, and it was a gorilla (in honor of "Casey", the 'star' attraction)...very cool, though the minor burns you got from grabbing the sucker too soon made for complications...

The Avengers
This was the second show that used the phrase "hoist with his own petard" (Bullwinkle was the other)--I thought Steed was the ultimate dude, and of course Emma Peel was the uber-female. Simply one of a kind, and that's a shame.

Tang
Ah...Tang. After about five to seven spoonfuls (ignore the instructions--Tang tasted awful by its intended amounts), just add water and chug! The sugar rush would carry you for hours!
Actually a lot of drinks are similar to Tang now, especially Sunny Delight and Tropicana Orangeade--but Tang gets the bad reputation.
I have a soft spot for the stuff--I remember when it was the "space-age" drink, and I especially remember the grape Tang, which could put a rhino in a diabetic coma.

Wax Bottles
I remember that we always got these for kid game prizes at the county fair--an absolutely priceless memory, even if you tended to swallow more wax than beverage at times.

Grrr...Ate---GREAT
Shhh....Ohhh--SHOW!
So many memories--we would watch this at school (gave the teacher an hour off, but it was for our "benefit"--to be honest, I remember those lessons more than anything she taught!)

Kid Power
A very sweet memory of childhood...I even have faint memories of the theme music--"Red, yellow black or white, it's up to Kid Power..."
