Lost in SpacePosted On: 04/24/07 |
PHOTO:![]() Billy Mumy and Me, July 2003 MEMORY:I remember watching Lost In Space after school on Ch. 5 in NYC and on Ch. 44 here in Oakland. It was and still is one of my all time favorite shows. I wanted to be Will and Penny's best friend. The robot was too cool! I loved his humanistic quality after the show got rolling. Dr. Smith was annoying, but endearing. I think the second season is my favorite. I was thrilled when the Sci-Fi channel was conceived and one of the first series they aired was Lost In Space, every morning at 10am. I taped almost every episode! I'm not only a Lost In Space fan, but a Billy Mumy fan as well. Bill has a wonderful solo singing career, and is the leader of my favorite band, The Jenerators, featuring David Jolliffe (from Room 222), and Miguel Ferrer (from Crossing Jordan). For several years, I have gone to see them play in Santa Monica, at Rusty's on the pier. Billy is such a sweet guy and really loves meeting and talking w/ his fans. I can honestly say that you won't find a nicer more accessible celebrity than Bill. I'm usually greeted w/ a hug and a warm hello when I see him. He's a great singer and a wonderful guitar player. He still regards Lost In Space fondly and is flattered that people remember this series that only lasted 3 seasons.I love you, Billy! Gold Stars: 11 GOLD STARS:
