BIO:
I have fond memories of the late 80's, 90's and I'll even call the early 2000's retro. I still remember when Satruday mornings on ABC were not all invaded by the Disney channel and when Nickelodeon was "Old School" - hell, I remember the first nick Jr. Shows - Sharon, Lois and Bram's Elephant Show anyone?!
I remember wearing neon green and bright purple leggings from The Children's Place and shopped at the first Limited Too stores. I owned (and still do) a load Hello Kitty merchandise, played with Popples, my talking Cricket doll, Rainbow Bright (before she became a gay pride icon), Glow Friends, and could eat whole boxes of Doo Dads snack mix by myself. I rolled my eyes at the obsession my older sisters had with the boy band, Menudo – but I secretly kinda liked them.
When my age first hit double digits (10 was like SO old) I wore babydoll dresses, "Blossom" hats, and I believed have watched every damn episode of Saved by the Bell.
In High School I wanted to be Agent Scully from the X-Files - After all, "Smart is Sexy". I went to poetry club meetings (explored the local cemetery for “inspiration”), thought the goths were cool, and wanted to be an operatic soprano or a Broadway star – sadly neither have happened.
