When I was a kid, my neighborhood was quiet. I liked to read comic books about Wonder Woman, Superman and Roy Rogers. Comic books cost 10 cents each. Every Saturday afternoon of the world my girl friends and I would go to the movies. It cost 10 cents to get in. We listened to the radio for news and entertainment. Dad bought our first TV in 1954. It was black and white. Color TV came along later. My aunt and uncle would take my sister and me to the circus whenever it came to town. Summers were special. My sister and I spent our days swimming and boating in the creek by our home. I graduated from Jersey Shore (Pa) High School in 1954.
