Bewitched
Fond memories of the reruns of this show (since it ended before I was born). My mom loved this show, and still does. I remember when I was in Kindergarten and would get out of school at 11:30. Couldn't really tell time back then but I know that my mom would tell me that the bigger kids got out of school after the second Bewitched episode of the afternoon was over (it was on twice in a row in the afternoon). I'm guessing that would have been around 2:00 or so...When I think back to little things like that I get a very warm feeling inside.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
Of everything from my childhood, nothing brings me back and "makes me feel like a kid" more than He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. This is one thing that has followed me to adulthood as I have been collecting figures for over ten years. I remember when the toys and cartoon first came out, and arguing with other kids on the playground whether He-Man shouted "I Have the Power" (correct, like I always said) or "I Have Power" (wrong, like the other kid said). You can't buy memories like that.

Lunch
I'll never forget the lunchlady from my first and second grade year. Her name was Mrs. Doll. Tall (to us), loud, with curly white/gray hair, she was scary. Her mantra was "You must try everything on your tray before you leave!" Anybody remember how bad peas and corn tasted from the school cafeteria? Ugh! We would find interesting ways to take some off our tray and fake that we had eaten some. Including putting it on other kids trays. I still think about her when I see peas.

Atari
My mom had actually gotten the amount of points needed to get this patch. At the time, though, the only way to prove it was to take a picture of the TV and send it to Activision. She took the picture, but it didn't come out. Pre-digital camera age kind of sucked!

McDonald's
I remember a field trip we took in 2nd grade to the McDonald's down the street. It was like being behind the scenes on a movie set. I remember being in awe watching hamburgers being born. Little did I know that when I was in high school I would work at McDonald's for a time and the magic would somehow be completely gone by then.

Batman
We had just moved to a new city after I graduated from the sixth grade. My dad took my brothers and I to see the movie. Dad didn't like going to movies before that, and this was the first time in my life he had taken us. I remember that more than the movie. But I loved the film. Still do. Was my favorite Batman until Batman Begins came along. Now that honor goes to the Dark Knight.

Can't Touch This!
I remember the first time I heard that song. I was in the jr. high school band and we were going around to different grammar schools playing for the kids. The Dance team came with us and this was the main song they had a routine for. I thought to myself "I gotta find out who sings this song and get it!"

Batman Forever
Saw this the day it came out, which was coincidentally the day I graduated High School. We saw it in the morning and it was pouring down rain. I was in the back seat of my buddy's old VW bug and it kept stalling on the way in to the parking lot. People honking at us from behind and the stupid thing wouldn't start. So we got out in the pouring rain and pushed it in. Then it started (of course). Anyway, I liked the movie upon its release, but have reevaluated it over the years. I don't think it has held up well.
