I grew up in the 90s, a time when you knew the Macarena by heart (still do!!), you rented VHS tapes and not DVDs, the new Beanie Babies were always sold out, Are You Afraid of the Dark? creeped you out, and you knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger, were meant to be together.
I remember reading the Baby-Sitter's Little Sister book series and considered them to be the best books ever and playing hide and seek at dusk. I owned a lot of hand-me-downs from my sister, from her old Rainbow Brite dolls to her hair crimper, and I couldn't wait to get home after school so I could watch shows like The Magic School Bus, Doug, Sailor Moon, Rugrats, Wishbone, and (late late LATE at night) Beavis and Butthead. I also danced a lot to The Spice Girls-come one, you secretly like them too! The girls got a new motto and the guys got a whole lot gay-er XD (so tell me what you want, what you really really want)
I have a lot of interest in the 60s, 70s, and 80s as well. I'm a big fan of the hippie movement and still consider ponchos to be a valuable fashion accessory :)
