As with any little boy in the 80's, there was that He-Man phase. This party was a full on Masters Of The Universe theme complete with a He-Man cake. I guess obsession started early for me.

My family and I moved down to Corpus Christi Texas. As much as I didn't want to leave Kansas City, MO, Corpus was really great.

MEMORY:
The 1988 school introduced me to my best friend Ray-Don Daniels.... I know, weird first name, and I made plenty fun of him... But he and I had a great time together as kids.

MEMORY:
In 1989, I was going strong with my love of Ghostbusters thanks to the release of Ghostbusters II.... Well, a couple of months later, my tastes changed up a bit with the release of the first Michael Keaton Batman flick.... I didn't really want to go see it at first, but my Dad did, so we went together. I remember being hooked just by the intro, and when I was totally into the movie, the flim stopped, and the lights were turned on.... Everyone was a bit confused, but it turns out that this charity thought a sold out showing of Batman would be the perfect time to raise money.... So the crowd just gave them some money just so they would restart the movie.... Ah, memories.... On a side note, I'm an even bigger Batman fan these days.

MEMORY:
This was the year that the Saved By The Bell mania happened for me.... And I just knew that I was going to marry Kelly Kapowski.... I'm still waiting by the way.

MEMORY:
My family and I decide to move back to Kansas City after spending a six year vacation in Corpus Christi. By the time we came back, and were settled, school had already been in session for about a week or so... Not just any school, high school. I had the pleasure of being the akward new kid that no one knew.... It worked itself out though, I had a lot of good times in high school. At this point in my life, I was totally obsessed with Saved By The Bell.
* I was only 13, but for whatever reason, the timeline says I was 15.

MEMORY:
I saw Bon Jovi for the first time in support of their "Keep The Faith" album. It was a life changing experience, and I've been obsessed with music, songwriting, and playing guitar ever since. Shortly afterwards, I convinced my parents to buy me a guitar.

MEMORY:
So, it's 1993.... I had never, ever been on a roller coaster that went upside down, and I was scared silly... But somehow intrigued at the same time. My friend Wes convinced me to ride The Orient Express for the first time. World Of Fun had a camera set up at the first major hill, so my first ride was captured for me to always remember.... This coaster ended up being my favorite ride at the park.
