BIO:
I'm your typical 80's child--I was born in 1981 and played with all of those wonderful toys that are probably now collector's items. I remember when my grandparents got cable and my younger brother and I discovered "Nickelodeon". What a wonderful channel it was and it sure has changed today! The game shows, the sitcoms, the funny commercials--it had it all. In my opinion, they should have a channel dedicated to the 80's-complete with retro commercials and classic 80's cartoons and sitcoms. Sort of like a TV Land.
I was also a HUGE New Kids on the Block fan :)
The 90's rolled around and so did the grunge era. I first watched MTV at a friend's house and was surprised by what was on. My parents wouldn't let us watch that kind of stuff but I quickly became a fan of the Real World. I loved the pop music of the late 90's--the boys bands (more NSYNC than Backstreet Boys), loved the Spice Girls and hated Britney, that sort of thing.
So that's that---which leads us to today. It's fun to have a place where there are things that you enjoyed as a child. My husband thinks that I'm crazy when I say "Oh! Remember this! Wasn't that so fun?!" to just about everything on this site. But hey, it's fun.
And as the Fall Out Boy song goes: "Thanks for the memories!!!" :)
