Re: Movies you've seen that nobody remembers

Wizard's post reminded me of this flick.

"Breaking Glass" with the amazing Hazel O'Connor.

A movie about a punk rocker who gets corrupted by the
corporate machine. Some truly great songs and a wonderful
performance by Hazel O'Connor.

I do, now I'm wracking my brain trying to remember what it was an acronym for.

Two of the creepiest movies ever seldom make it on TV:

No Way to Treat A Lady: Rod Steiger as an uber-creepy serial killer who dresses up in different disguises, strangles women, and then paints a lipstick kiss on their foreheads. Absolutely creeptastic!

Alice, Sweet Alice: Brooke Shields, a serial killer, Catholic girls, and creepy masks. Very, very weird flick.  view

My friend Shauna (A total Goth Chick) Had "Alice Sweet Alice" on VHS in her movie collection for YEARS in her apartment and I ALWAYS wanted to watch it but never did! Now you have reminded me to find some way to obtain it and finally see it! (Shauna and her copy live in LA currently!)

I guess this movie isn't that obscure, but does anybody remember Sleepers - a movie about a couple of friends from Hell's Kitchen who were sent to reform school where they were sexually abused by the guards and later got their revenge. Although the book was better, the movie was pretty good.  view

That was a good movie.

1. Laserblast (Claymation aliens accidentally leave one of their weapons behind and teenager with chip on shoulder attaches weapon to arm. Hijinks ensue.)

2. Wizards (Animated. Saw this at a double feature with People That Time Forgot. Basically, two wizard brothers - one good, one not so good - fight over the fate of the world.)

By the way, shout out to whoever posted "Race With The Devil." That movie is mean. And it rocks.

Wow! I thought my husband was the only person who'd ever heard of that movie. We have it on DVD as well as Powa(something)qatsi. Talk about a trippy movie! When we watched for the first time the conversation went like this:

Amberosia: Is this all there is to this?
Eeyore19: This is it. What more do you need?
Amberosia: Is it better if you're on something? Mr. Green

Whenever you tell someone about a movie, the first things they usually ask are "who's in it?" and "what's the plot?" Good luck trying to explain "Koyaanisqatsi" .... "who's in it?" .... "um....nobody...." .... "what's the plot?"...."there isn't one...."

Oh, I loved My Bodyguard!

Also, Night of the Comet, The Treasure of Matacombe, Candleshoe, and The Black Hole.

I haven't seen any of these since grade school and I miss them. Probably, Candleshoe I could order, but the others seem to have vanished as nobody remembers them, even my Mom who took me to see them!

That starred Paul Jones (Manfred Mann's early band). We had that record. I only played 2 tunes, 'the title track' and 'Free Me'.

Night of the Comet, Candleshoe, and The Black Hole are all available on DVD, so someone else remembers them.
