Re: Your Childhood Soundtrack

Sadly, my childhood soundtrack is filled with country songs, mostly heard on the radio, in the supermarket, or the playground. "Achy Breaky Heart" was especially popular in elementary school. I also remember kids on the playground singing "Leader of the Pack" and "Locomotion." For some reason oldies were also popular.
I myself wasn't really into popular music as a kid, and I never kept up with the cooler bands of the late 80s and early 90s. I didn't buy my first cd until 7th grade, and, more sadness, it was a Hanson cd. Yes, I had no taste. |

Oh geez. Before I really started messing with the radio, my mother listened to way too much Madonna and Phil Collins.
Even though I grew up in the 90s, most of my childhood is filled with 80s music, probably because the pop station we listened to was still playing 80s hits mixed with new ones up until 1996 or 1997. |

Oh geeze, this has the potential to be a very long list, but I'll keep it short.
Tears For Fears
Huey Lewis & The News
Tiffany
MC Hammer
Vanilla Ice
Bon Jovi
Heart
Van Halen
Starship
Robert Palmer
I could break it down by songs and artists, but I said I'd keep it short. _________________ www.hauntingheather.com

Oh. Wow. Reading this at first I felt young (1986) lol. But anyway, I like many different artists and songs, from the 60's, 70's (parents), and 80's and the 90's. Disney movies were huge in the 90's so I listened to a lot of Disney movie soundtracks (Lion King #1) and other movie soundtracks. I listened to a lot of boybands and 90's club/dance music.
One of my favorite and earliest songs was: "What is Love?" by Haddaway (1993). |
