QVC's Beauty Bash
Posted: Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:54 am Central Time
Anyone ever watch QVC shopping channel? Well I do, I love their beauty products and this pass Sunday my daughter, sister and I went to their beauty bash at their t.v. studio in West Chester, Pennsylvannia. It was like the ultimate trick or treating for women, there was about 48 vendors and everyone of them gave you some kind of beauty product, and you got to meet all the people like Nick Chavez and Laura Gellar who are hair stylist and makeup artist to the stars, we even met Kim Kardashian's makeup artist. What was really cool was that they have a message board at the QVC website (Beauty Banter) and all the people who were members there wore a pink ribbon, so you could ask who they were. We paid $20.00 dollars to get in and someone totalled up all the products we got and it was $1.047.00, so yeah it was a great day for me. _________________ Well behaved women rarely make history-Lauren Thatcher Ulrich

It was so cool, we also got to meet some of the host from QVC. the free stuff was awesome, people came from allover the country for this, luckily I had to go about 1/2 hour.
Nothing about Kim, I think we already know enough about her, lol. I did meet Tova Borgnine, Ernest Borgine's wife, she's really beautiful for an older woman.

I hear some vendors were el cheapo this year, such as Jonathan Antin; I heard he only had a packet for each customer; his Dirt creme? Also, Smashbox could have been more generous; you are paying for that room, etc. If it weren't for the customers, these vendors wouldn't be in business; some of them could have punched it up a little. That said; I've been watching the Q since the fun days when Jeff "Thanks for the Jeffrey" Hewson was on, Kathy Levine, Judy Crowell; fun times! I keep it on for background noise now, but LOVE that Valerie Parr Hill. Sounds like you had a great time. Would love to know how Patti Reilly lost all that weight. Isn't it funny how she and Lisa Robertson lost weight but...Not by Nutrisystem?? |

Here are some of my favorite gifts, Laura Gellar blush and eye shadow, Lorac lipglosses,Tarte eyeshadow and Tova's Signature perfume (who I heard changed the formula, but still smells awesome to me.)
Maybe next year, you can come and we can meet up. _________________ Well behaved women rarely make history-Lauren Thatcher Ulrich

You are so right about Jonathan, he was the cheapest, I thought he would be there too, maybe he's too busy filming his t.v. show, lol. OMG, Lisa Robertson, who looks beautiful on t.v. looked like &*!# in person, she had so much makeup on it was scary. But she was still very nice. Mally was the nicest of all and gave out awesome brushes, we took some pics with her.
Do you ever go on the Beauty bash message board, it's great, lots of info about all kinds of products not just those shown on QVC. _________________ Well behaved women rarely make history-Lauren Thatcher Ulrich

Antin, imho, is full of himself; no one round here would know who he was if he didn't do Blow Out; that was a good show, though; good drama. But...500.00 a haircut? My 6 year old could do a better job than some of thos stylists. What's the link for the Beauty Bash bb's? Is it like Makeupalley.com? LOVE Mally; she seems very caring and very sincere and is cute as a button. She has a great attitude and seems to care about what her clients think. Wow, LR looked icky in person? Maybe she has a vision problem; I wonder if she puts on her makeup until she sees it;-) The nearly black lipliner and light pink lipstick went out in the...Wait, was it EVER really in?? It must be the pageant thing; it never left her. How long have you been watching the Q? PS, more on Mally, very, very gracious of her to take the time for pictures; it's very telling and I hope she keeps expanding. Did anyone get to meet Holly from Smashbox? Did she say Madonna got her face done there recently? Also, Holly looks pregnant again; maybe it was the belt; did you see the show last night? I was too tempted, but didn't buy anything. |

If you go QVC.com then to QVC community that takes you to their message boards. I've never been to Makeupalley, definitely gonna check that out. LOL, about the black lipliner, I had a friend who used to do that, she only made things worse for herself. I've been watching for a couple of years, my sister just can't control herself though, she had someones line of jewelry on QVC when we went to the beauty bash and people wer coming up to her saying OMG, I bought the same thing too, or I wanted to buy it, lol. How about HSN do you ever watch that? I really haven't since they put it all the way down on channel 72 on my cable. I don't remember seeing Holly there, maybe she was on break when we stopped by. Laura Gellar was just on, her new lipsticks sound awesome, probably gonna try it. The West Chester studio is about 20 minutes away from my house, so I will be stopping by there alot more often, this way I'll save on shipping. _________________ Well behaved women rarely make history-Lauren Thatcher Ulrich
