Well ya know, it was said that he had his share of "issues", so I'm sure that had a lot to do with what he said.

No..I did NOT go to school with any one famous but the store I worked in in my home town did have a few famous in- One being Sharon Stone I did see once with her mom- Cause her Mom use to always come in before she moved to be with Sharon in California! I also know that Pat Monaham (From Train-Tears from Jupiter) comes in the store but If he came in when I was there I didn't know it was him

I didn't but my sister went to school with Sue Cowsill in fact, she was in a school play with her, I think it was either Godspell or Bye Bye Birdie.   I used to party with the late Bill Cowsill back in the mid 70's.

Re: Did you go to school with anyone who became famous?

My ex-boyfriend's mother knew Elle MacPherson in the neighbourhood when she was younger. One day they got into a discussion about what they wanted to be when they grew up and 'Elenor' (as she was known back then) said that she wanted to be a model. She'd done a Best & Less (sorta like K-Mart) catalogue ad and thought that she'd like to make it a career. My boyfriend's mother said, in all sincerity, "Elenor, don't be a model. It's very very hard work and not very rewarding." It's a good thing that Elle didn't take that advice on board, because she never looked back. Just from that story, my ex-boyfriend and his siblings know to never listen to a word their mother says. HAHAHAHAHAH!

I don't know how famous he is but I was in school at the same time as Scott Radinsky. He pitched (relief) for the White Sox, Dodgers and the Cardinals. He also sings for a punk band called Pulley and runs a skateboard place in Simi valley called Skatelab. I knew of him but didn't really know him in school (he was two grades behind me)

Oh and one of our teachers wound up being on the TV show Survivor, Bruce Kanegai (I think it was the edition when they were in Panama, (I never watch the show)

In high school I was one year behind Fred Newman who became a pretty good pitcher for the Angels.

I was in grad school at the University of Maine when Stephen King was an undergrad. He wrote some great columns for the school newspaper back then, and had a reputation of being a bit eccentric. I didn't really know him, other than we'd grunt or nod if we passed eachother in the Student Union or somewhere.

No, but there is someone I know at a pre-vocational program named Richard, who remembers that Eddie Murphy was in the same high school he went to. He told me that he remembers hearing Eddie in a classroom telling his jokes making everyone laugh.

Re: Did you go to school with anyone who became famous?

In college, one of the guys I knew was manager of the Violent Femmes for about three weeks, so I knew the band (at arm's length) pretty well.

I also knew another guy who dated Joan Cusack in college and would see her around at parties. She wore a lot of make-up back in the day.

I was in classes with the guy who now anchors our local TV newscast, as well as the media writer for the Chicago Tribune.

And, of course, I'm famous, so I guess that counts, too.
