Rainbow sherbert, the swirls of pink, orange and green were hypnotic. _________________ www.sarah-brightman.com

Rocky Road. It's all I remember my mom getting when she used to take me there back when I was a kid. |

pralines and cream -- the first to feature the flavor -- and the best. I also adored something called "red applejack ice" in the 70s -- but it disappeared, never to return again. It was the most delicious ice flavor I had ever tasted. |

Quarterback Crunch is kinda like pralines and cream, but I always thought there was more caramel and nuts in Quarterback Crunch. |

When I used to go to Baskin Robbins, it was the novelty of a slightly different lineup of 31 flavors every month that got me -- other chains offered almost as many choices, but they rarely changed.
As a result, I would tend toward the seasonal flavors or the flavor of the month, and order something different every time. Among my favorites that come to mind were Apple Pie, Egg Nog, and Red, White & Blueberry.
(I tried the Bubble Gum one time, but couldn't deal with trying to eat ice cream and chew the bits of bubble gum without swallowing them. Another chain, Dipper Dan's, had a bubble gum flavored ice cream without any gum, and it even tasted like Bazooka, so that was much better.) _________________ "Life moves pretty fast. When I was a kid, I was all about the sherbet flavours, especially rainbow. When I got older, I liked Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Maui Brownie Madness the best. |

When I was a kid, Baskin Robbins was a big deal. Since we didn't have any ice-cream places near us, I didn't have any BR till I was 10. I remember that was the year of the bicentennial and the very first flavor I had was "Valley Forge Fudge". I like the Fudge flavors, peanut butter and chocolate, cheesecake flavors, and the seasonal stuff like Egg Nog, Apple Pie, Pumpkin pie, and some of the fruit flavors. _________________ Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. |

Oh, how could I forget? That's another present-day favourite of mine--Raspberry Cheese Louise. I think they stopped making it, though. As for more childhood favourites, I also liked cotton candy and bubble gum ice cream when I was a kid. |
