While you were away, most of the spammers seemed to just be registering and putting some advertising links up on their homepage and then leaving. Their problem was that as soon as a new person (or a new spammer) registered, the first spammer's page was virtually invisible. There was no link to it once the "newest registered user" link pointed to someone else. Their spam was in virtual limbo. - In fact, ironically, the only way any of them got any attention was when one of us noticed them when they WERE the newest user and we found their product funny (or peculiar) enough to copy the link into one of our threads WE were giving them the publicity - they basically had none otherwise. I just realized that. Now, what a lot of them are doing is carrying their spam themselves by making an innocuous post or two, but having the link attached as a signature or avatar. They pass their message basically the same way a flu virus passes their "message." Of course in this mode they are more visible to you now as well. Kick 'em back from whence they came! (Or something like that).
