My fondest, and earliest, memory of Michael Jackson was when Thriller came out. Everyone had stayed home from school just to watch the premier of the video and that was awesome as far as I was concerned.
Now that he's gone I reflect on this with a lot of good memories.

Everything up to his "Dangerous" album.. It was after that when he struck me as too bizarre and I just lost interest.
Pure genius! And just like a mega genius, he was eccentric as heck! |

THE KING:

THE CHAIRMAN:

THE KILLER:

THE KING OF POP (a name he bestowed upon himself by the way, also insisting that the media refer to him as such):

I read that too.... That guy is the whole reason MJ turned out the way he did.... He probably should be waterboarded at some point. _________________ www.hauntingheather.com

He was stuck at being 12 years old...
He abused drugs....and it killed him.
He was sheltered from a regular life like you and I..they staged a food shopping spree in a supermarket so he could feel like everyone else....
He was a brillant star....a trendsetter in music and dance.
A pioneer of a monsterous industry...
He will be missed. |

I was heartbroken when I heard the news 3 weeks ago, I was his biggest fan and I feel more sympathy for his mother and children. I feel all because of the media circus and those who believed all that bull about him hurting children, removing all the drugs that killed him? he died of a broken heart I'll tell you that. |

I mean , sure ... everybody can look back at their childhood and remember it fondly, regardless of what "era" it was in and appreciate the pop culture of the time.
But I got to be a kid when Michael Jackson was in his heyday. I wish I could bottle what that point in time was like and share it w/those who aren't of my age group. view
brilliant.
you put into words exactly what im sure a lot of people have been feeling, including myself. |

Debbie Rowe is asking that Joe Jackson not be involved in the children's upbringing. I agree that he shouldn't be involved in the raising of Michael's children because of that reason. Hopefully Janet will help her mother raise the children. |
