"Small Wonder" coming to DVD
Posted: Sun Aug 23, 2009 11:00 am Central Time
She'll make your heart take flight in early 2010, when Shout Factory plans to release the first volume of the 1980s cult classic syndicated sitcom on DVD:

(But how will anyone order it from Amazon.com or rent it on Netflix when 99 and 44/100% of those who remember the show cannot recall the title?) _________________ "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." -- Ferris Bueller

Simple--they'll just come to RL and make a bunch of posts asking us if we remember that show with the little robot girl who could lift couches! _________________ Zombies, man. They creep me out. |

The only reason I remember that show is because the little girl looked just like my next door neighbor growing up. _________________ ................(___)..........

I have around 35-40 episodes of this on tape from when I taped it back in the day. However, it is great that it is coming out on dvd. I am definitely going to purchase this. Long live the 80's. aka..The Greatest Generation of all time. |

Who could forget this show!
I got it on DVD from someone who was selling pirate VHS rips on eBay.. Might be good to see it again in decent resolution and without the muffled audio... |

What show was it again? I don't think we've ever talked about it. _________________ Oh Gloria, with hair like granite. |

Not particularly funny, no. It was an early syndicated 'kid-com,' sort of like The Disney Channel or The Family Channel done on the cheap.
It did have, however, a remarkable performance by Tiffany Brissette (sp?) as the robot Vicki, who adroitly captured Vicki's tendency to mimic others' vocal inflections when repeating words and phrases. |
