Kriss Kross

Any one remember what happened to Kriss Kross in the 90s?
I heard they were both molested by Jermain Depri and was all over the news.

Actually, I had never heard that, and I'm a little leery of tossing about allegations without backup.
I Googled it, and apparently there's someone out there claiming to be one of the kids from the band saying this, but no one can even prove it's him.
Someone faked being Peter Criss to get money once.....it can happen. |

I remember when I first heard their hit "Jump" in 1992, I thought they were referring to Christopher Cross ("Ride Like The Wind", "Sailing", "Arthur's Theme") when I heard the line "Kriss Kross can make you jump, jump"!

Do you have any source for that? I've seen the allegation on a lot of hip hop and entertainment gossip boards, but nothing with any kind of merit behind it.
Provide a source, if you can find one -- otherwise, heck, I heard Kriss Kross were producing the next Batboy album, with Bigfoot for a DJ.

matt, if you're going to use wikipedia as a reference, you still have to cite it like everyone else. _________________ can't talk now, the ninjas are watching me think.

LOLZ!
I would cite the article, but the Wikipedia moderators deleted it right after I wrote it. <-- cheerful self-mocking irony and stuff
As for Kriss Kross, I'm not sure about Daddy Mack Smith, but Mack Daddy Kelly is running an indie label and making music, at least as recently as February.
Cheers,

Yup. I remember someone saying about them, "They think they're such big bad hoogies just because they wear their clothes backwards."
What I don't get is their stage/nicknames "Daddy Mack" and "Mack Daddy"--Where the h-e-double-hockeysticks does the "Daddy" come from? They were in their early teens when they first hit the charts w/ "Jump!" Were they really teenage fathers at that time as well? Somehow I can't see that but I dunno...... |

i think mack daddy was supposed to be just another term for "the hot stuff", "big man on campus", etc.
daddy mack was just used for lack of a better nickname, and to keep with the backwards theme. _________________ can't talk now, the ninjas are watching me think.

This misspelling bugs me more than just about any other.
It's "KriS (one S in first word) Kross".
