Yes, that's it. I have the first 3 volumes. This is the reason I grew up on 50s/60s music as a kid instead of the top 40.

I owned one...it had both "Wildfire" and "We're All Alone".

Re: Shell Cruisin' Classics

Hi everyone,

As a small part of a Mother's Day present to my mom, I'm compiling the Shell Cruisin' Classics series on CD and was wondering if anyone had high-quality scans of the tape jackets of the of each of the six volumes of Cruisin' classics.

I would like to make covers/inlays for each of the compulations? Has anyone posted them or can email them to me Smile

I had a few of them. Not a bad collection of songs, however some of the songs were edited or shortened...mainly "American Pie"....it fades out halfway through the song.

That was probably taken from the 45 rpm single.  It was broken up about halfway through, with part 2 as the flip side.  I think sometimes radio stations would play just the first half also ... 7 minutes was a long time on top 40 radio.
