Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids
Posted: Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:18 am Central Time
What a show!
This weekend while doing a search for The Fat Albert Halloween Special (that usually shows up on Cartoon Network) I found that "The Word Network" shows Fat Albert on Saturday mornings. Albeit at 5:00am but nevertheless. It's a great oppurtunity to see this classic show if you don't already own the dvd box set.
I grew up listening to Bill Cosby records at the same time watching Fat Albert on Saturdays. The music, the animation, the stories and the life's lesson in each episode were awesome. Bill Cosby was so deep in his element with this program that it almost makes him look out of place in The Cosby Show. _________________ People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I love the 70s version of this show, but sadly, the 80s version got too preachy. (sign of the times) I do have the Halloween, Christmas and Easter Specials on tape. _________________ Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. |

Yeah, but those are the preachy ones, even though it mistakenly says "Season 1". _________________ Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. |

That was on this morning. They showed a tape of an abridged "Noah" routine. _________________ Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. |
