Created by author John Peterson, The Littles were a series of popular children’s novels written in the late 60s and featured a family of tiny intelligent creatures that were part-human and part-rodent (evidenced by their long tails and mouse-like ears). In 1983, they emerged from the books to star in their very own Saturday morning cartoon series on ABC called, you guessed it, The Littles.

In 1988, a television show debuted that quickly won the heart of every baby boomer out there. The Wonder Years followed the daily life of a young boy named Kevin Arnold, who was coming of age during the turbulence of the late 60s. While Kevin struggled with his own adolescence, the nation had it's own challenges - the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, and the liberation of women - and millions tuned in each week to follow the trials and tribulations of this all-American suburban family.

He offered a glimpse into his imaginative world featuring a literal treasure trove of family entertainment. Offering a mixture of classic live-action films, nature segments, and the company's iconic animation, the show went by many names over the years, appearing on just about every channel at one time or another. Most fondly remember it as The Wonderful World of Disney.

Back in the 70s, you might recall watching a fun little TV series called Zoom, one of the first children's shows hosted entirely by kids. Created by WGBH, the public station in Boston, the series was aimed at grade-schoolers and featured a rotating cast of seven to ten kids who performed songs, dances, games and skits for their peers at home. It is still fondly remembered by a generation of former kids who faithfully tuned in each week.
